Adopt a Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair Cat

Shaya the Cat needs a home

Meet Shaya! This sensitive kitty likes attention on her own terms, especially when she’s offered a tasty snack. She loves to be around her favorite people and keep a watchful eye over her loved ones.

This friendly girl’s favorite toy is her crinkly ball, which she carries around wherever she goes. She also enjoys filing her nails on her vertical cat scratcher.

Shaya gets along with other cat friends and even some small dog friends! She can join an adults-only home. If you’re interested in adopting Shaya, please call our Adoption Center in New York City at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120.

Foster Program Cat - As part of our adoption program, some of our feline friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows cats to have a more comfortable and domestic living space, and allows our behaviorists to learn more about each individual kitty's personality and needs. Through our foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new feline friend will adjust to life in a permanent home. If you are interested in meeting one of our foster program cats, please first call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120. Our team will provide you with more information about meeting this cat.
